A friendly and inclusive primary school in High Wycombe is seeking a dedicated and empathetic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This school creates a nurturing environment where all children can thrive. Start date: January 2025.
The Role:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you'll provide focused, personalised support to a Year 1 student, helping to meet their unique learning and emotional needs. Collaborating closely with teachers and SEN specialists, you'll play a key role in helping the student engage with the curriculum, boost their confidence, and reach their full potential. This fulfilling position is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact on a pupil’s growth and development.
Responsibilities:
🤝Provide tailored support to a student based on their individual education plan.
📚Support the student with academic tasks and help foster their social and emotional growth.
🌱Apply strategies to encourage positive behaviour and improve engagement in learning.
📝Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to track progress and provide regular feedback.
Requirements:
👥Previous experience working with children, especially in 1:1 support or with SEN pupils.
💖A patient, empathetic nature, with a genuine dedication to supporting pupil development.
🗣️Excellent communication and organisational skills.
🔄A proactive, adaptable approach to meeting the changing needs of the student.
🚀Start date: January 2025
