We are currently seeking a compassionate Early Years SEN Support Assistant! Are you passionate about supporting young children with special educational needs and eager to make a positive impact on their early development?

This role focuses on creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for children in their early years, helping them build confidence and develop essential skills. As an Early Years SEN Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver individualised education and care tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and/or small group support to children (aged 3-5) with SEN who require additional assistance.
  • Follow the guidance of class teachers and assist in planning and delivering personalised learning activities that promote social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Help children manage emotions, encouraging positive social interactions and supporting their educational growth.
  • Implement Individualised Educational Plans (IEPs) and behavioural support strategies, adapting to each child’s specific needs.
  • Assist with personal care needs when required, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to create a cohesive and consistent approach to each child's progress.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills in SEN support.
Requirements:
  • Experience in working with, or a genuine passion for supporting young children with special educational needs.
  • Relevant experience in care, social care, or other sectors with transferable skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with young children in an SEN setting.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion, well-being, and the educational development of young learners.
  • A Level 3 childcare qualification is desirable but not required.
Pay: £95.00 per day (PAYE & Holiday Pay)
