We are currently looking for a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our Year 3 team at an Ofsted Outstanding school in High Wycombe. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the academic and personal development of young learners, helping them reach their full potential.
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include working closely with the class teacher to create a supportive learning environment, assisting in the planning and delivery of lessons, and providing one-on-one or small group support to students who may need extra guidance. You will also support students with any social, emotional, or behavioural needs, fostering a positive atmosphere in which children feel confident to explore new ideas and challenges.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities, catering to the individual needs of students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs or those requiring additional assistance.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting good behaviour and fostering a sense of belonging among students.
  • Support the preparation and organisation of teaching materials, resources, and equipment.
  • Assist with the assessment of student progress and provide feedback to the teacher to aid in individualised planning.
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Strong organisational skills to assist in managing classroom activities and resources effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Qualifications:
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred, but not essential.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check will be required to work with children.
  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Any additional qualifications or training related to education or child development will be considered advantageous.
Pay: £86.00 per day PAYE & Holiday Pay.
