As a specialist setting, we provide education for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other complex needs. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver tailored education that meets each student’s unique needs and helps them thrive.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to students with ASD and related additional needs
- Assist with both academic work and social development, helping students with communication, behaviour, and life skills
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to create a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Use strategies like PECS, Makaton, or sensory support to help students access the curriculum
- Support with personal care where needed and manage behaviours
- Experience working with children with ASD or other SEN (preferred but not essential)
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach to working with young people
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to different needs and challenges
- A passion for making a difference and a positive attitude towards supporting young learner
- Any relevant qualifications are desired but not required.
Pay: £95.00 per day, PAYE & Holiday pay.
