We are a currently accepting applications for a Teaching Assistant to join a local specialist school that provides high-quality education for children and young people with autism. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team and support our students in their educational journey.
As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant in an SEN school, you’ll work closely with experienced teachers to support children with autism in both their learning and personal development.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the delivery of engaging, tailored lessons that cater to individual learning needs
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support during classroom activities
  • Helping to manage sensory needs and support students with their behavioural challenges
  • Supporting students' social, emotional, and personal growth
  • Collaborating with a wider team of staff to create a positive, structured learning environment
Requirments: 
  • Experience working with children, ideally in a SEN setting
  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
  • A passion for helping children with special needs reach their full potential
  • Flexibility and a willingness to learn in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service. 
  • Safeguarding training.
