Are you an experienced teacher looking to make a real impact in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We’re looking for a dedicated and adaptable SEN Supply Teacher to join the team at a dynamic specialist school in Slough. This is a great opportunity to support students who require additional help re-engaging with their education.

As a Supply Teacher, you will cover lessons for students with a range of needs, predominantly focused on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) issues. The students have often faced significant challenges or traumatic experiences, so we need someone who can bring a calm, understanding, and consistent approach to the classroom. You’ll be helping them rebuild trust in education and supporting their academic and emotional development.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching students with SEN, particularly those with SEMH needs, is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students who may struggle with traditional learning environments.
  • A flexible, patient, and empathetic attitude.
  • The ability to quickly build rapport with students and adapt to different class groups.
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the needs of students with SEMH and SEN.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs and help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Create a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel safe and valued.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and other teachers to maintain continuity for students across their lessons.
