We offer competitive pay between £90-£99 per day, paid directly on a PAYE basis (no umbrella companies). This full-time role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to KS3 students with behavioural and emotional needs.
- Help manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management techniques.
- Support the development of students' social and emotional skills, helping them to regulate their emotions and engage positively with peers.
- Assist in creating individual behaviour plans (IBPs) and implementing them effectively in the classroom.
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to monitor progress and adjust support as needed.
- Build trusting relationships with students, helping them feel safe and understood in the school environment.
- Provide practical and emotional support in moments of crisis, using de-escalation strategies when necessary.
- Contribute to maintaining a calm, structured learning environment, ensuring all students feel included and supported.
- Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour, particularly in a KS3 setting.
- A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to working with students with SEMH and behavioural difficulties.
- Ability to build strong relationships and engage positively with students who may exhibit disruptive or difficult behaviour.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and an understanding of SEMH needs.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a wider support team.
- Ideally, a Behaviour Support or Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) or relevant experience in a similar role.
- A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).
