Do you have recent experience working with children with special educational needs? A warm and inclusive school in Maidenhead is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team in Year 1. The school is committed to fostering a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.
In this role, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support students with a range of special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include providing 1:1 and small group support, assisting with classroom tasks, and helping to create a dynamic learning environment tailored to meet the individual needs of each child.
Responsibilities:
🟪 Provide support to students with SEN in Year 1.
🟪 Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning strategies.
🟪 Contribute to the development of an engaging and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
🟪 Assist with maintaining classroom order and supporting positive behaviour.
Requirements:
✔️ Previous experience working with children with SEN.
✔️ Relevant qualifications or a willingness to pursue further training.
✔️ Compassion, patience, and a proactive mindset.
✔️Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
✔️ Right to work in the UK.
✔️DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new DBS.
