We are looking for a committed and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to become part of a supportive team at a welcoming school near Maidenhead. In this important role, you will provide essential support as a 1:1 to primary-aged children with special educational needs, helping them build confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant you’ll work closely with teachers and other staff members to deliver a tailored curriculum that meets the individual needs of each student. Your role will be vital in creating an inclusive, supportive environment where all children can thrive.
Responsibilities
🟣Provide 1:1 or small group support to assist children in overcoming learning barriers.
🟣Support classroom activities, adjusting the curriculum as required to meet the specific learning needs of each student.
🟣Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere.
🟣Assist students in managing emotional and behavioural challenges in a constructive way.
Requirements
✔️A Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential.
✔️A strong passion for working with children with additional needs.
✔️Experience in a school or educational environment is advantageous but not required.
✔️Resilience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
✔️A genuine desire to support and empower children in their personal and educational growth.
