Do you have experience supporting children with special educational needs? A friendly and inclusive primary school near Taplow is looking for a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil on a 1:1 basis. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with a specific child, providing tailored support that meets their individual needs. Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO, you’ll contribute to both their academic progress and personal development. Your role will involve creating a supportive learning atmosphere, building the child's confidence, and promoting independence through personalised assistance.
Responsibilities:
🟦Provide focused one-to-one support for a Year 1 pupil with special educational needs.
🟦Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver customised learning plans.
🟦Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that meets the child's individual needs.
🟦Assist the child in staying engaged and encouraging positive behaviour throughout the day.
Requirements:
✅Previous experience working with children with SEN is an advantage, though not a requirement.
✅ A compassionate, patient nature combined with a hands-on, can-do mindset.
✅ Must have the right to work in the UK.
✅ A current DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to obtain a new one.
