We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to lead the Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision in a primary school in Reading. This role offers the chance to build and shape your own department with full creative control over its development. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and delivery of SEN strategies, with the freedom to build a unique department
  • Manage and support a team of SEN teachers and support staff
  • Ensure tailored, high-quality education for pupils with SEN, adapting approaches to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate with external agencies, parents, and carers to ensure comprehensive support for pupils
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, designing interventions to ensure they reach their potential
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive SEN practices
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Some experience in SEN teaching or a strong passion for the field
  • Enthusiasm for leading and developing a department
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to inclusive education and helping pupils succeed
