We are looking for a motivated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to become part of a dynamic primary school team in High Wycombe. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning, working collaboratively with class teachers to enhance student progress and foster an engaging, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons and help implement various teaching strategies to support diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and prepare classroom activities, resources, and materials.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to the teacher.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Support children with special educational needs, working closely with teachers and special educational needs coordinators.
  • Take responsibility for delivering small group or one-to-one interventions.
  • Help set up and maintain classroom resources and materials.
Requirements:
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • Solid understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving and challenges.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
