We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Bracknell. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs, specifically within a Key Stage 2 (KS2) setting. You will work closely with classroom teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to provide a tailored, nurturing learning experience for pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

In return, we offer competitive pay between £90-£99 per day on a PAYE basis (no umbrella companies involved, ensuring fair pay and transparency). The role comes with a strong possibility of becoming permanent, providing long-term stability for the right candidate. You’ll also benefit from ongoing training and development, including access to CPD opportunities, all within a school that values inclusive education and supports the growth of its staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support KS2 pupils with SEN, both 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Help adapt learning resources to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Assist with personal care and other duties as required (training provided if needed).
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to monitor pupil progress.
  • Use creative and engaging methods to support students’ emotional and academic development.
  • Help with behaviour management and support students with emotional regulation.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), particularly in KS2.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude – flexibility and empathy are key in this role.
  • The ability to build strong, positive relationships with children and staff.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
  • Ideally, a Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) or relevant experience. (But not essential).
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one).
At Supply Hive, we strongly believe in fair pay and ethical recruitment. Our focus is on finding the right people for the right roles, and we work closely with schools across Berkshire and Buckinghamshire to ensure our staff are valued and supported. By joining our team, you will not only have the chance to work in a school that champions SEN education but will also be part of an agency that puts people first.

If this role sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, we’d love to hear from you!
