Key Responsibilities:
- Support KS2 pupils with SEN, both 1:1 and in small groups.
- Help adapt learning resources to meet the needs of individual students.
- Assist with personal care and other duties as required (training provided if needed).
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to monitor pupil progress.
- Use creative and engaging methods to support students’ emotional and academic development.
- Help with behaviour management and support students with emotional regulation.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), particularly in KS2.
- A caring, patient, and proactive attitude – flexibility and empathy are key in this role.
- The ability to build strong, positive relationships with children and staff.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
- Ideally, a Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) or relevant experience. (But not essential).
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one).
