You’ll be working in a supportive and inclusive environment, providing vital assistance to students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs. Your role will involve building strong relationships, helping students engage in their education, and supporting them both academically and emotionally. This is a full-time position, perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about creating positive change and helping students make progress in all aspects of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support in the classroom.
- Help students manage their behaviour and develop emotional resilience.
- Assist with lessons and ensure students stay engaged with their learning.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to create an individualised approach for each student.
- Promote a safe and positive learning environment.
- Experience supporting students with SEMH or similar needs.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of students.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding practices.
- Level 2/3 TA qualification (preferred but not essential).
