Looking to make a real difference in young people’s lives? A special school in Slough is searching for a Teaching Assistant who’s motivated to support students in alternative education. Starting in January, this role involves working in a dynamic, flexible learning environment designed to help students who face challenges in mainstream settings to thrive. The school emphasises hands-on, practical learning.
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting students aged 11-16, assisting with lessons, and helping them develop essential life skills. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you’ll provide guidance, encouragement, and support to help students make positive choices for their future.

Responsibilities 🌟
  • Assist in delivering engaging, practical, and supportive lessons.
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups with students to support their learning and well-being.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour, creating a safe and encouraging environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and behaviour specialists to provide tailored support for each student.
Requirements 🔍
  • Prior experience working with young people, especially in a setting with additional needs or challenging behaviours.
  • A caring, patient approach with strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to individual student needs.
  • Right to Work in the UK, and the ability to pass enhanced DBS checks.
PAY: £90-99.00 per day.
