Key Responsibilities
๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Food Technology, meeting the needs of students across a range of abilities.
๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Foster creativity and innovation, encouraging students to experiment with flavors, techniques, and presentation.
๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Teach food safety, hygiene, and nutrition in line with the UK National Curriculum and relevant industry standards.
๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Manage and maintain a safe, efficient, and inspiring food technology room.
๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Prepare students for practical and written assessments, supporting them in achieving their best results.
What Weโ€™re Looking For
๐ŸŒŸ Qualifications: A recognized teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE) specializing in Food Technology or Design & Technology with a focus on food.
๐ŸŒŸ Experience: Prior experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level, ideally KS3 and KS4.
๐ŸŒŸ Passion for Teaching: An enthusiasm for food, cooking, and nutrition that inspires students.
๐ŸŒŸ Organizational Skills: Ability to manage resources and maintain a safe learning environment.
๐ŸŒŸ Compliance: Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) and two recent references.
