Key Responsibilities
๐ฝ๏ธ Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Food Technology, meeting the needs of students across a range of abilities.
๐ฝ๏ธ Foster creativity and innovation, encouraging students to experiment with flavors, techniques, and presentation.
๐ฝ๏ธ Teach food safety, hygiene, and nutrition in line with the UK National Curriculum and relevant industry standards.
๐ฝ๏ธ Manage and maintain a safe, efficient, and inspiring food technology room.
๐ฝ๏ธ Prepare students for practical and written assessments, supporting them in achieving their best results.
What Weโre Looking For
๐ Qualifications: A recognized teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE) specializing in Food Technology or Design & Technology with a focus on food.
๐ Experience: Prior experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level, ideally KS3 and KS4.
๐ Passion for Teaching: An enthusiasm for food, cooking, and nutrition that inspires students.
๐ Organizational Skills: Ability to manage resources and maintain a safe learning environment.
๐ Compliance: Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) and two recent references.
