As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting students with a variety of additional needs, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether you’re working one-to-one with a pupil or supporting a small group, you’ll help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Your work will truly transform the educational experience for these children.
Responsibilities:
- ✏️ Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN needs.
- 🌟 Assist the class teacher in creating tailored learning plans.
- 🧩 Encourage students' development, focusing on their individual strengths.
- 🗂️ Help maintain a positive and organised classroom environment.
- 🤝 Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external specialists to support students' progress.
Requirements:
- 🎓 Previous experience working with children or young people, especially those with SEN needs.
- 🧠 Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
- ✍️ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- ✅ A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.
