Are you enthusiastic about working with children and helping them to achieve their best? Have you gained valuable experience working with young learners?

We are looking for a committed, passionate Teaching Assistant to join our Windsor First School in their Year 1 class. Our school is OFSTED rated 'good' and focuses on the importance of children's academic development. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons for Year 1 children.
  • Provide individual and small group support to students in various subjects, including literacy, numeracy, and phonics.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Help students develop their reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Support students in their personal and social development, encouraging positive behaviour and fostering a sense of independence.
  • Assist with classroom management, including preparing materials, organising resources, and maintaining a tidy learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher, contributing to the assessment and evaluation process.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young learners, preferably in a school environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the UK curriculum for Year 1.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow the direction of the class teacher.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
