We are looking for someone to join one of our partner schools in Bracknell. The role will be based in the school Specially Resourced Provision working with a KS2 class. There are also mainstream opportunities as the children in the SRP work alongside their peers in the classroom for half of the day. They are a really friendly school with a warm and supportive nature, looking for someone to be an involved and valued member of the team.
Your daily responsibilities will involve supporting children with their day to day lessons as well as working with small groups, leading activities. This includes the use of sensory and interactive resources to encourage engagement. You will need to maintain a safe and secure learning environment, that is inclusive of everyone. You should have a good knowledge of what skills are required to work with children who have higher needs and be able to pick up on their behaviour and learning patterns.
To be successful for this role you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Relevant experience working with children. Experience working with children with SEN is preferable.
- An enhanced child DBS that is on the update system. (We can provide guidance for those who do not already have a registered DBS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Right to Work in the UK.
