A Slough Primary School is seeking a nurturing and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Reception Class. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the early education and development of young learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment for Reception students.
  • Assist with the implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum plans.
  • Provide individual and small-group support to students, addressing their learning needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development.
  • Help with classroom organisation, including setting up learning resources and preparing materials.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other staff members to monitor and assess student progress.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing feedback on students' achievements and challenges.
Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a Reception or Early Years setting.
  • A strong understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with young children.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
