We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join our team starting in the summer term at a local school close to Maidenhead. This full-time position will involve supporting the Year 6 classroom with a focus on behaviour management, delivering interventions, and helping students improve their writing skills.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Year 6 grammar and punctuation curriculum and be able to support students in both individual and small group settings.
Responsibilities:
🤝Offer personalised support to individual students or small groups in Year 6 to enhance their learning.
👥Work closely with the teacher to create and deliver engaging, interactive lessons.
📚Modify and prepare learning resources to accommodate the varied needs and learning styles of all students.
🏫Foster positive, supportive relationships with students, boosting their confidence and encouraging active participation in class.
📊Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and valuable insights to the teaching team.
Requirements:
✅Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
✅Strong grammar skills and excellent behaviour management techniques are essential for this role.
✅A genuine passion for fostering children's growth and learning.
✅Strong communication skills, with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
