Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver lessons that accommodate the needs of children with special educational needs.
- Offer individualised assistance to children, addressing their learning needs and assisting them in achieving academic and developmental goals.
- Work closely with the SENCo, teachers, and other staff members to devise and implement effective strategies for supporting children with special educational needs.
- Record and monitor the progress of the children, identifying areas for improvement and liaising with relevant staff members.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment, ensuring all children feel valued and included.
- Maintain regular and open communication with parents, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of children with special educational needs.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
