We are looking for a compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive environment that is committed to providing high-quality education for children with autism and other complex learning needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping children with autism, sensory processing difficulties, and other additional needs, providing them with the support and guidance necessary to engage fully with their learning journey.

Responsibilities:
📚 Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with autism, sensory processing difficulties, and other additional needs, helping them to engage in their learning and develop essential life skills.
🌱 Assist in implementing individualised learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO to meet each child’s specific needs and learning goals.
💬 Offer emotional and behavioural support to help children regulate their emotions and engage positively with their peers and learning activities.
👫 Work closely with the wider support team, including therapists and specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s development.
🔄 Assist with personal care needs where required, promoting independence while ensuring the safety and well-being of the children.
🧠 Support in adapting the curriculum and resources to suit the learning styles and abilities of the children, ensuring they can access education in a meaningful way.

Requirements:
📝 Experience in working with children with autism, learning difficulties, or other SEN
🎓 Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant, or equivalent)
💖 Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude to supporting children with a range of emotional, social, and academic challenges.
🚀 Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team, with a focus on collaboration and continuous learning.
