We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in January. The school creates a nurturing and inclusive environment where students with moderate to severe learning difficulties, Autism, and other complex needs are supported to reach their potential. The school is committed to helping each student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, providing a tailored approach to meet the individual needs of every learner.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide invaluable support to students with special educational needs in a secondary classroom setting. Your role will involve supporting both individuals and small groups, helping students engage with the curriculum, build confidence, and develop vital life skills. You will work closely with the class teacher and other staff members to create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.

Responsibilities:
🌟 Classroom Support – Assist with lessons, providing individual and group support to students.
🌟 Promote Independence – Encourage students to develop self-reliance, confidence, and academic growth.
🌟 Behaviour Support – Help students manage their behaviour and stay focused throughout the school day.
🌟 Team Collaboration – Work alongside teachers and staff to build a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

📚 Experience – Previous experience working with secondary-age students, preferably in SEN settings.
📚 Qualifications – Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience.
📚 Understanding of SEN – Experience supporting students with Autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, or other complex needs.
📚 Team Player – Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and students.
