Are you a dedicated and passionate individual with a background in sports and a love for nurturing confidence in children? We are excited to announce an opportunity for a talented sports instructor/teaching assistant to join a team at a renowned local specialist  school!
The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers and specialists to support the personal and educational growth of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly focusing on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist class teachers in developing and implementing art programs tailored to the unique needs and abilities of each child.
  • Foster students' personal, social, and educational development through creative expression, collaboration, and self-esteem building activities.
  • Create an inclusive and encouraging environment where students feel inspired and appreciated.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment where students can explore their creativity and build resilience.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs in an art or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • An understanding of how individual ASD needs may affect learning and personal development.
  • A valid and enhanced DBS check.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training.
Pay: £95.00 per day PAYE & Holiday Pay.
