We are excited to welcome a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to our Year 5 team at a school near Slough, starting in the summer term. This full-time role will involve supporting the Year 5 class, with a particular focus on behaviour management, running targeted interventions, and helping students develop their writing abilities.
The successful candidate will have a solid knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum, and will be comfortable working with both individual students and small groups. Experience in supporting literacy and numeracy interventions is preferred.
Responsibilities:
🟣Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups in Year 5 to improve their learning experience.
🟣Collaborate with the teacher to design and implement dynamic, engaging lessons.
🟣Adapt and create learning materials that cater to the diverse needs and learning preferences of students.
🟣Build strong, encouraging relationships with students, helping to boost their confidence and inspire active involvement in lessons.
🟣Monitor and evaluate student progress, offering feedback and meaningful insights to the teaching staff.
Requirements:
✅ Previous experience in a similar role is essential
✅ Excellent grammar knowledge and effective behaviour management strategies are crucial for this role.
✅ A true enthusiasm for supporting children’s development and learning.
✅ Strong interpersonal skills, with a proactive attitude and a collaborative mindset.
