A Slough Infant School is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young learners.

Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Support: Assist the Year 1 teacher in delivering high-quality lessons, providing support to individual children or small groups as needed.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to implement the school curriculum, ensuring that learning activities are engaging and age-appropriate.
  • Child Development: Support the social, emotional, and academic development of Year 1 children, helping to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Differentiated Learning: Assist in the implementation of strategies to address the diverse learning needs of children, ensuring that all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
  • Behaviour Management: Contribute to maintaining a positive and respectful classroom environment by implementing behaviour management strategies consistently and effectively.
  • Communication: Establish effective communication with both children and parents, providing regular updates on progress and any concerns.
  • Resource Management: Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom materials.

Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in Key Stage 1.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of young learners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
